I am here to direct you in this discovery of the body and how it is a vehicle to deepen the knowledge of Being.
Teacher Sandra Barënfeldt
Born in Berlin, I am a graduate teacher in Vijnãna Yoga. My classes focus on Yogatherapy, Yoga philosophy, meditation, breathing exercises and asanas.
Yoga trains me to be more aware of myself and allows me to look at what surrounds me from a different perspective. The philosophy of Yoga is my favorite. Teach me that life consists of constant challenges, which must be faced with fearlessness and attention to grow from them.
Through Vijnãna Yoga I had contact for the first time with the philosophy of yoga, its origin. I realized that HERE AND NOW is just a variation of what was lived and practiced thousands of years ago. And then what I read turned out to be a life orientation for me personally. In my personal practice, it allows me to be more aware of myself. It's more about the path to the pose than to dominating it.
In my classes you will find four main practices of Vijñāna Yoga: the Seven Vital Principles, "Just Sit", Pranayama with attention to the 10 vayus and the study of ióguic texts.
It is a practice of deeper understanding. We tried to restore the balance that was lost between heaven and earth. By practicing and applying the principles, we sharpen our awareness of the sky, the earth and the space that surrounds us. Being aware of supporting our weight and using gravity, avoids damage and allows a quiet posture and few movements.
Teacher Ester Andres
Natural from Silves, visual artist, enthusiast and dedicated to the practice and knowledge of yoga.
It was about 10 years ago that I began my journey in yoga, regularly and for 3 years, more exclusively in the Iyengar methodology.
Always looking to deepen my practice and knowledge, I did several training courses in Portugal and India, including 400 hours of TTC, and training with recognized teachers such as Usha Devi and Rajiv Chanchani (both direct students of Iyengar “Guruji”).
My classes are very inspired by the Iyengar methodology, placing a lot of emphasis on alignment and actions in postures, such as the use of props. This methodology provides practical tools for creating and maintaining bodily health and vitality, mental clarity, emotional serenity, and spiritual well-being.
